Truth from fiction

"We have been tracking President Trump’s false or misleading claims for more than seven months. Somewhere around Aug. 4 or Aug. 5, he broke 1,000 claims, and the tally now stands at 1,057. (Our full interactive graphic can be found here.)"

 ....

"Trump’s most repeated claim, uttered 50 times, was some variation of the statement that the Affordable Care Act is dying and “essentially dead.” The Congressional Budget Office has said that the Obamacare exchanges, despite well-documented issues, are not imploding and are expected to remain stable for the foreseeable future."

...

"Some of Trump’s favorite claims are simply odd. Eleven times, he has said that the United States has already spent $6 trillion on “Middle East wars,” money that could have been used instead on building roads in the United States. He often suggests this is a recently calculated figure, but it combines the cost of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (which is actually in South Asia) and then includes future obligations for veterans costs and interest on the debt through 2053."

Pathological Lying

Sociopaths also exhibit symptoms of pathological liars, where they constantly lie to cover up for certain behaviors. It is difficult to trust them and take their word at face value because of this untruthful and insincere behavior.

It never ceases to amaze me that ykw (you know who) was elected and...the most amazing...remains in office.  One of the early lessons for children is the need to be truthful.  Aesop's fable about the boy who cried wolf has a functional use...if trust is not respected there is not much character there.

Today there was much analysis on the speech last night about what to do with Afghanistan and emphasis that ykw has set it up to blame on the generals when things go wrong.  He avers it is against his better judgment to

continue the longest war in our history.

Nixon, especially Reagan, and the younger Bush have damaged our country, but this is a record-setting amount of lies and dismay in a short time when it is easy to fact check who said what where and when.

(Yahoo Serious)   This led to spectacular success with his first weird, skimpily-budgeted vehicle Young Einstein (1988), the story of a young Tasmanian farmer who discovers rock music along with the theory of relativity.

I highly recommend Young Einstein if for nothing else the line, "If you can't trust the government, who CAN you trust?"

Apparently no one in the current administration....they seem afraid to tell the emperor he is creating mistrust through his inability to present accurate information.  To his credit, he did not stray from the teleprompter last night...his own spin often gets him into a centrifuge.

In the same imdb interview Serious is quoted as saying,

"So we have to be careful because if you don't protect your culture you won't have it for very long.
